PalUp Does Not Sell Personal Information

PalUp does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This applies to all data we collect from merchants and shoppers, including conversation transcripts, browsing behavior, and order data. We use personal information solely to provide and improve our AI sales agent service.

How to Opt Out of Data Collection

• Shoppers can control data collection through the PalUp chat widget's built-in consent settings.
• Click the gear icon in the PalUp widget header to open Privacy Settings.
• Choose your preferred consent level: Full (all features enabled), Limited (core chat only, no behavioral tracking), or Opt-out (no data collection, proactive suggestions disabled).
• When you select Opt-out, PalUp immediately stops collecting behavioral events (page views, scroll depth, exit intent) and disables proactive recommendation bubbles.
• Your consent preference is stored locally and applies to the current store. You can change it at any time.

How to Request Data Deletion

• Shoppers: Click the gear icon in the PalUp widget, open Privacy Settings, and use the "Delete my data" button. This sends a deletion request for all conversation history and behavioral data associated with your session.
• You can also email privacy@palup.ai with your request. Include the store name and any details that help us locate your data (e.g., approximate date of conversation). We will process your deletion request within 45 days.
• Merchants: If you uninstall PalUp, all data associated with your store — including shopper conversations, customer profiles, and attribution records — is automatically deleted within 30 days via Shopify's shop/redact webhook.

California Residents' Rights Under CCPA

• Right to Know: You can request what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. We will respond within 45 days.
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., completing a transaction, legal obligations).
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. This page serves as our required disclosure.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality based on your exercise of CCPA rights.
• Right to Correct: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
• Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Categories of Personal Information Collected

• Identifiers: session fingerprint (non-PII browser/device hash), Shopify order IDs. We do not collect names or email addresses unless voluntarily provided during a conversation.
• Internet activity: page URLs visited, conversation transcripts, browsing behavior within the PalUp widget.
• Commercial information: products viewed, items added to cart, purchase history linked to PalUp conversations.
• We do NOT collect: Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or any other categories of sensitive personal information.

How We Use Personal Information

• To provide the AI sales agent service to merchants.
• To generate product recommendations and handle shopper questions.
• To track attribution of AI-assisted sales via UTM parameters.
• To produce aggregated, anonymized analytics for merchants.
• To improve PalUp's AI models using anonymized conversation patterns.

Authorized Agent

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorization signed by you and verify their own identity. We may contact you directly to confirm the request.
